41 weeks and 4 days

We're still here.  I'm still pregnant.  Heading to work this morning and then in for a second non-stress test.  Hopefully the baby is still doing well.  We've pulled out the stops and are trying everything to get this little munchkin to come join us.  Keep us in your prayers. 

41 weeks and two days

 Yep.  Still Pregnant.  

Derek and I are very ready to meet our little guy.  It's been a long wonderful pregnancy.  We've been thankful enough to not have any issues.  A few scares, including not passing our first round of non-stress tests this week, but everyone is still healthy and doing well.  Sunday should be bringing a trifecta of things that should help push him along- a cold front, a full moon and a hurricane is coming this way. At this point though, we're resigned to the fact that we are going to have to pull him out!  Our inducement is scheduled for Thursday night.  

A look back at where we started to where we've come!  The human body is kind of amazing.

40 weeks and 5 days

Well, the baby isn't here yet.  Saturday I went stir crazy.  My contractions have amped up and yesterday I thought just might be the day.  But, it wasn't.  I had a great chat with a friend that was due on the same day as me- we're both still waiting!... and starting to try old wives tales to bring the baby.  I'm scheduling my accupuncture appointment today for as soon as possible and getting a pedicure on Sunday.

Derek has been sweet enough to plan something for us to do every night, because otherwise I will continue to go stir crazy.  Monday we went to the mall and window shopped.  Last night we had friends over for a bonfire and s'mores.  I'm oddly looking forward to Saturday without the baby when I know we're hitting up some more estate sales.  I see the midwife today and tomorow is our first non stress test, where we could be induced afterwards if the baby is showing signs of duress.

Keep your fingers crossed for us that our little guy is still doing well and that this birth happens naturally.  I'm hoping to not be induced but we'll do what we need to!  The inducement is planned for Nov. 1st at 9 pm. 

40 weeks

Full Term!

This picture was technically taken at 40 weeks and two days, but most of them have been like that.  This skirt is getting a lot of use lately-it's one of two that manage to not squeeze the belly.  Because, gosh that belly is big!  

I'm not going to give any updates on how things are going because I know it would come out like whining! Pregnancy has been wonderful, but we're ready for our little guy.

Lately

Things are gearing up for our little one.

My office threw me a cookies and milk shower.

A coworker decorated a cookie cake with this beautiful beatrix potter theme!

 And we decorated onesies.

Derek's office threw him a shower as well.  It was so fun for me to be able to go too!  I got to meet a lot of his new coworkers and those I hear about a lot.  I didn't have my camera with me but Derek snagged a few shots of the to die for cakes!

And we are still enjoying the balloons from the party.

His coworkers gave us some very sweet gifts, including a patchwork blanket made by our friend Danielle- I'll have to get a picture of it in use!

Mingo and Haplo have been full of energy with all the rain.  I've tried to give Mingo some floor time lately since he's missed being on the couch and the bed.  It's pretty cute seeing him snug with the belly.

Don't worry Haplo is full in the mix too.

Will try to have my 39 week picture up tomorrow.  Things are busy busy-okay mostly they just seem busy because doing one thing wears me out.  But, we toured the maternity floors at the hospital last night and I'm off to LeLeche League meeting tonight.  Plus I still have gifts to make for all our friends that are having babies and the house is a disaster!  Can't bring a baby  home to a mess can we?!!  We are ridiculously happy though- and I'll take every second of that!

38 weeks

this baby is getting big!  Approximately 6.8 pounds and over 19.5 inches long.

Life is busy trying to get everything ready.  I'm sleeping a lot more poorly- hard to get comfortable, so mostly lazy days around here-which doesn't help with getting things done!!  

Can't wait to meet our little guy.

37 weeks

Baby is about 6 1/3 pounds and 19 inches!!!  Sooo big.
How far along?  37 weeks 
Total weight gain:28 lbs
Maternity clothes: finally bought some maternity jeans this week- h&m, and got some Toms.  So glad I got them both.
Stretch marks? not really
Sleep: very hard to get comfortable. rolling over and sitting up is a chore.  
Best moment this week: working on some more baby projects and truly just having things calm down a bit, hanging out with Derek, Mingo and Haplo
Miss Anything?:  being comfortable
Movement: lots of movements, still hiccups.  lots and lots of rib jabbing by the little guy this week.
Food cravings: fruit and cheese
Anything making you queasy or sick: sometimes I just feel yucky in general
Gender: boy oh boy!
Symptoms:  dry skin, , growing belly, little kicking feet.
