~15 pounds
wearing some 3-6 month clothes, though they're a little long on him, loving our carters 3 month clothes from Aunt Ellen and her lovely daughters

holding head at a ninety degree angle on a good day in tummy time
recognizes Mom and Dad

You know Charles is happy when he spits, says gheee or kheeee.  And it's adorable.

We've changed up his sleeping routine about a week ago, but before that he'd stay asleep for a good four hour stretch.  We are cosleeping with him now full time and I really think it's the best decision.  It'll certainly give us more time together once he's in daycare.

We just can't seem to get people to not call him Charlie, so we're introducing him as Chip.  Our approved nickname :)

Charles,

I cannot believe you are three months old today.  Where has the time gone?  You have changed our life so much and we are continually learning about you.  You are such a happy baby.  You love to play and be carried around.  You can never get enough snuggles from Mom and Dad.  Which is perfect for us in this household!  You are starting to learn about the puppies too.  You grabbed a hold of Mingo the other day- he didn't know what to think!  We love playing with you and seeing you get stronger.  It's so fun to see you grow but it's bitter sweet because you are such an adorable baby.  You have the sweetest smile and laugh.  Although I can't catch it on camera- you clam up when I pull out "the big black beast." We are enjoying every moment with you-even the hard ones are learning times for us.

Would not describe Charles.  Well, for one, because he's a boy.  But he's also a toy hog these days!!

10 weeks

I stopped doing these for awhile because it felt like a lot of trouble but then I looked back and saw how much he's changed and realized I need to keep doing it!  So here he is at ten weeks! He spits and drools when he gets excited.  He's sleeping for one 4 hour session at night. 

 He loves time with his Daddy.  We both interact with him so differently and these two guys are adorable together.

   His face is full of expressions and delight. He coos and laughs and snuggles.

 He's started to play with toys and really respond to them.

Let the toy takeover of the living room begin!

Here's to 2013

This year has been momentous for our little pack.  We bought our first house and we had our first child.  Every year just keeps getting better and better.  I can't wait to see what the next year will bring and look forward to seeing this little munchkin grow.
